Sis. Justine Ayuk

Jun 30, 2018

Sis Justine Ayuk who resides in Dallas Texas got paralyzed from her waist down after delivery in Cameroon before moving to the United States through the DV lottery program. While here, besides and outstanding bill of $1400 that she owed the hospital as she sought treatment, she needed $2500 to buy braces that would help her undergo therapy. She had been getting support from brethren, friends, and well-wishers. When TACC-Friends was informed of her situation, she was invited to the 2017 Convention in Texas and $1934 and 10 000FCFA was raised to support her. Later, she found out that the braces she needed were going to be longer and cost about $5000. She received a support of $2700 from another organization in addition to what she had received from TACC-Friends but this was not still enough to clear her needs. From the funds of the Charity Committee and the coffers of TACC-Friends, $2000 was raised and channeled to our sister. Her outstanding bills have been fully paid, the braces bought and the remaining $800 was to be used to pay for the therapy sessions. Another $200 was given to her from the Charity Fund during the 2018 Convention to assist with the therapy.
