Bro. Parfait Lobe

Oct 31, 2012

Brother Lobe Parfait resides in Douala with his wonderful wife Jacqueline Epoto and their four sons. Sister Jacqueline became born again in 1992, and Brother Parfait followed her in 1995, and was eventually made a Deacon in TACC Bonapriso, Douala. Before Brother Parfait accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, he was playing music with the Sam Fan Thomas group and made his living that way and also in cabarets (the practice where musicians go to night clubs and stage live for money). He had to give up all these when he became born again. He’s the best solo guitarist player in TACC at the moment and also helps as an Electrician during programs. Since leaving the worldly band, he has been unemployed for several years due to economic hardship in the country. Brother parfait learned how to repair refrigerators twenty-five years ago but has not been able to set up a workshop to practice his skills.

Becoming born again has been a real source of persecution for him and his family. His mother and other members of his family want nothing to do with him. He was living in a family house in Akwa but they sent him packing. He went to another family house yet the same thing happened. He was unable to meet up with his rents and living expenses. Their financial situation was compounded by the fact that his wife has been suffering chronically from high blood pressure. A few years ago she was so sick and in a coma for two days. At the same time Brother Parfait and two of his sons also became sick. No family members visited them. They were unable to pay their hospital bill. The Bonapriso TACC Assembly, Elders Ebune Philip and Emmanuel Kenmogne (both of the Yopuwe TACC Assembly) help with hospital bills. The Assembly continues to help Brother Parfait with dwindling financial assistance. Brother Parfait was acruing rents and medical bills.

In October 2012, TACC-Friends Int’l gave $958 (or 502, 500 FCFA) to our L.O. Elder Ebune who located a rentable space, cleaned it up, paid the rents for a few months, bought the necessary tools needed for Bro. Parfait to start his workshop, then gave the keys and rent agreement of the shop to Bro. Parfait (see picture). Bro. Parfait was short of words to express his gratitude. He set out to work immediately, and within a few months, he became famous in the area. We are thankful that he has been patient for 17 years and God has finally answered his prayer through TACC-Friends. Latest update reports that he’s in need of an Apprentice to help him on the job. To God be the glory.

Bro. Parfait was interviewed four months after the opening of his workshop by our LO, Bro. Ebune Philip.

Bro. Parfait’s workshop can be seen here.
